Appointment Details Location My office is located in north Seattle, up the hill from the Ballard neighborhood. Click here for directions. Length of Appointments My appointments are 55 minutes ($100) or 85 minutes ($140) in length, followed by a few minutes to finish up and schedule our next appointment. I also offer one 85-minute session to all clients at the 55-minute rate ($100), preferably when we first meet, to be sure we have time to go beyond first-session data-gathering and get down to work. If this can’t happen the first time we meet, we can arrange for a longer session at the second or third appointment. I recommend 85-minute sessions in general, particularly for couples, since it gives us more time to explore your concerns more deeply. Fees My fee for each appointment is $100 or $140 as noted above, payable at the beginning of each appointment. (Click here to make a payment online). I do have a few appointments each week on a sliding scale for clients who have limited income or are experiencing unexpected financial hardship. If you have concerns of this kind, let me know. I can't promise that I will be able to meet your needs, but I am happy to discuss your concerns with you. Insurance Most of my clients pay out of pocket for my services, but I am a preferred provider with Uniform Medical Plan, and I may receive partial reimbursement from Group Health Options, depending on your plan’s coverage. If you are not insured by either of these companies, you may still qualify for reimbursement for out-of-network services. In that case, you would pay me up front, then file a claim yourself with your insurer. Several of my clients have successfully done this. If You’re Thinking About Insurance Whether or not you have insurance coverage for our work together, you may want to think twice about seeking insurance reimbursement. Many of my clients prefer to keep our relationship just between us for reasons of confidentiality (insurance companies will not pay the bill without receiving information about you, including a diagnosis of a “disorder”). In addition, many clients have told me that their own financial investment in their work was another way for them to feel empowered and motivated. It’s up to you, but you may want to reflect on this before seeking insurance reimbursement. I meet with clients on Tuesdays - Saturdays. My latest appointment begins at 6:00pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A Note about Your Privacy Your privacy is important to me. If you request an appointment online to make an appointment, please know that all data you enter is encrypted during transmission. I also maintain my email account and voicemail to the highest possible level of security. Your online appointment request will generate an email to me, and unless you advise me not to, I will respond to you by email. Information contained in these emails may be seen by a third party. Please note that your confirmation email may not arrive immediately. To Cancel an Appointment To avoid a cancellation fee equal to the appointment fee, please contact me 24 hours in advance of the appointment you wish to cancel. It’s best when cancelling to call me at 206-214-7650 rather than sending me an email.
